After working for two years as a multimedia journalist and fill in anchor at the ABC affiliate KLKN-TV in Lincoln, NE I ventured outside the news world and into the world of social media marketing.
Currently I serve as the social media and customer relations manager for Anderson Auto Group. I oversee the company's social and digital footprint for three markets spanning half a dozen locations and over 500 employees.
I serve as an in house journalist shooting, editing, and putting together videos to tell the company's stories of its employees, its customers, and its partner charities.
I've stayed active behind the scenes of local news with my husband who serves as the assignment editor for KLKN-TV. I've actively worked on local sexual assault investigations, sharing story ideas, and keeping in touch with both local officials and community members I got to know while reporting.
Prior to reporting in Lincoln, I served behind the scenes in the special projects unit at WDIV in Detroit, MI and at WJRT in Flint, MI.
News is and always has been my passion. I believe stepping outside the news world and into the world of digital marketing has pushed me to be a better journalist as I've had to adapt to an entirely different platform for storytelling. I've grown tremendously and cannot wait to take the knowledge I've attained back to a newsroom to serve a local community once again.
